Regulated  Agents

Jordan International Air Cargo and Defense Industries as a regulated agent provide security controls that are required or accepted by CARC for aviation security with respect to cargo and mail, which may include the screening of cargo and mail in accordance with requirement’s outlined in the national civil security program (NCASP).

Why should an air cargo agent apply to be Regulated?
The Aviation Security Regulations provide for any air cargo agent to apply for security approval, provided that the company meets the security criteria set out in the regulations. Approval will provide assurances to carriers and exporters about security standards and this means that for large volumes of cargo tendered by Regulated agents, the airlines – or their transit shed operator – will not need to carry out further searching or screening. Furthermore, approval enables the work of carrying out security controls applied to cargo to be shared by airlines and Regulated Agents. Overall it should facilitate the passage of cargo through airports.
