Jordan International Air Cargo (JIAC)

JIAC was formed in 2004 and specializes in lifting different ranges of air cargo to meet Jordan Market readiness for investment in air cargo and to utilize the strategic location of the country. JIAC formation went through the following milestones:

A feasibility study was prepared by JIAC staff and submitted to Jordan Civil Aviation Authority for revision and evaluation. The study was approved and reflected actual and factual facts and figures that gave confidence in proceeding with all legal and regulatory actions that yield to establishing an air cargo company. The infrastructure of the company was set forth and established at Marka airport. The main premises consist of a hangar with adjacent work area that includes offices, storage area, operations room…etc.

After a relentless team work effort over a period of nine months JIAC obtained a certificate from the Free Zone Establishment on October 2004 after complying with the rules and regulations allowing it to be registered as a Free Zone Area. Simultaneously, after complying with the rules and regulations of the Jordan Civil Aviation Authority (JCAA) and submitting all mandated forms for the purpose of obtaining an Air Operating Certificate (AOC), JIAC was awarded its AOC under registration no. "JIA C 002" on April 2005 marking its official date for starting the company's air operations.
